Alaska Health Equity Index

As of 2025, the Alaska Health Equity Index story map has been discontinued. The Alaska Health Equity Index was a customization of the CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index that provided data at smaller geographic levels than those originally available. The CDC has since expanded the Social Vulnerability Index and now offers more variables and data available at the lower levels of geography. They’ve also added tools for both data visualization and downloading raw datasets. Because of these enhancements, the Alaska Health Equity Index story map has been discontinued.
