Data


Progress on meeting Healthy Alaskans 2030 targets is shown on annual scorecards; one for all Alaskan people and one scorecard for Alaska Native people. The scorecards are a valuable tool to show where the state is making progress and where improvements are needed at a specific point in time as well as longer term trends over time.


To set the baseline for the Healthy Alaskans 2030 objectives, the Healthy Alaskans Data Team used the most current data released for each of the measures, which came from surveys, program reporting, and vital records which are about three years old. Check the baselines for the health objectives here.

The Healthy Alaskans 2030 plan utilizes data from national and Alaska-specific sources to track the health objectives. The following are all of the current data sources for the Healthy Alaskans 2030 plan:

  • AK Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System
  • AK Childhood Understanding Behavior
  • AK Department of Environmental Conservation
  • AK Department of Education and Early Development
  • AK Section of Epidemiology Sexually Transmitted Disease Program Manager
  • AK Health Analytics and Vital Records Section – birth records/natality
  • AK Health Analytics and Vital Records Section – Health Facilitaies Data Reporting
  • AK Health Analytics and Vital Records Section – death records/mortality
  • National Immunization Survey
  • National Survey on Drug Abuse and Health
  • AK Office of Children’s Services
  • AK Student Weight Status Surveillance System
  • Uniform Crime Report
  • AK Youth Risk Behavior Survey
